The ILO Regional Office for Africa is located in Addis Ababa, home to the African Union (AU) and the UN Economic Commission for Africa (ECA). The Regional Office is responsible for planning and coordinating the work of ILO's network of 13 offices throughout Africa. At the regional level it works closely with the AU and ECA, and through them with the Regional Economic Communities, to promote decent work in Africa. ILO's support is provided within the parameters of the Decent Work Agenda for Africa at regional level and through Decent Work Country Programmes (DWCP) founded on Partner Country Priorities and Ownership in promoting rights at work, encourage decent employment opportunities, enhance social protection and strengthen dialogue in handling work-related issues at national and local levels.
